Our green spaces give Eastbourne its unique character. They give residents a safe place for leisure and recreation and break up the urban landscape. They also provide areas for wildlife to flourish especially bees which are important for our food chain.
- ensure that the character of our downland is maintained
- have Eastbourne Park open as the largest publicly accessed green space in the town, with cycle paths that allow access from all areas of the town
- have dedicated ‘green corridors’ that promote biodiversity and encourage bee-pollination you can view discussions here
- have an active community ownership of parks under the ‘Friends of Parks’ scheme
